James O'Conor Gentry Jr. is a seasoned trial attorney with over twenty-two years experience in the legal arena.  Mr. Gentry has tried over 120 jury trials.  While serving as a police officer for nine years, Gentry obtained an M.A. degree in law and forensic science from George Washington University. He then graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate.  While at Baltimore, he was presented with the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence.  Mr. Gentry joined the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office where he litigated numerous high profile cases.  As a prosecutor, he developed a unique combination of expertise in the use of computer technology and graphics at trial, which he now applies to the firm's complex medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases.  Mr. Gentry has been the subject of a recent (August 20, 2006) feature article in the Baltimore Sun, where he was called a "pioneer in the use of technology in the courtroom."  A prominent Circuit Court Judge referred to him as the "master," stating "there is no one better when it comes to putting together these presentations."  Mr. Gentry has developed a training program, "Effective Litigation:  Use of high technology in the courtroom," which has been presented across the country.  He is a frequent lecturer on the art of persuasion and the use of high tech visual at trial for the National College of District Attorneys, Maryland Bar Association, Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, University of Maryland and Baltimore Law Schools, MICPEL and the FBI.  He has also lectured at Northwestern School of Law on the development of effective and persuasive closing arguments.
