Emily Malarkey joined the firm in 2006 after completing an appellate judicial clerkship for the Hon. Sally D. Adkins on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.  Ms. Malarkey graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, where, as a student attorney, she represented criminal clients at the trial, appellate, and post-conviction levels.  Ms. Malarkey also competed as a member of the nationally-ranked National Trial Team and served as a staff editor on the University of Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class.  Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, a selective organization recognizing achievement in oral and written advocacy.  Ms. Malarkey now utilizes these skills to obtain just results for her injured clients.
